THE LORE:

In a dystopian future, humanity has abandoned the depths of the ocean after decades of rampant exploitation. The underwater military bases, once used for advanced experiments and resource extraction, were forgotten after a mysterious incident known as The Silence of the Sea.

Your character, a cryogenically frozen mercenary, is summoned centuries later by a megacorporation in search of a forgotten fortune: Lyrus, an extremely valuable energy resource hidden in the underwater ruins. But recovery won't be easy: the bases are infested with faulty defense robots, mutated marine fauna, and a buried secret that could change the fate of the planet.

Resources: You must strategically extract resources to upgrade your equipment or sell them to buy information about the bases.

At first, your mission seems simple: gather resources and survive. However, as you explore more bases, you begin to discover recordings and journals that chronicle the events leading up to The Silence of the Sea. It appears the military was experimenting with the Lyrus, using it to manipulate marine life and develop biotech weapons.

A faulty central AI, called Nereid, controls the facility, viewing any intruder as a threat. Nereid isn't just an enemy; she appears to be protecting something... or someone.
